We know that cuts to federal science agencies have real consequences, including derailing careers and affecting livelihoods. In moments like these, please know that the American Physical Society is utilizing its resources to help physicists affected in real, tangible ways, including a hardship waiver for both current and new members.
Get started as an APS member with myAPS.org
There are a range of benefits you can access through myAPS.org, our online community hub.
You will need to log into your myAPS account to access your full member benefits. If you don't have a myAPS account, you can create one.
Manage your communication preferences, including updates from Physics magazine, as well as subscribe to APS email lists relevant to your interests, including Society News and Updates, Meetings and Events, Opportunities, Science Policy, Surveys, and Giving Opportunities.
Being an APS member connects you to our 50 units, which can help you meet physicists who work in your discipline or hail from your region. You'll build compelling relationships to help you navigate the scientific community. There may be additional costs to unit membership.

Make the most of your APS publication benefits
As an APS member, you have free subscriptions to publications that keep you up-to-date on APS activities and physics research.
To add subscriptions online, you'll need to create a myAPS account if you don't have one already. If you have an account, you can log in and add subscriptions through My Subscriptions.

Through the Physics Today and News Preferences section on myAPS.org, you can manage your delivery preferences to stay up-to-date with APS News and Physics Today. New APS members will receive an email from the American Institute of Physics (AIP) with information about registering for Physics Today, while current APS members can sign-up for Physics Today or change their password through AIP's website.

Access cutting-edge research. APS members get special subscription rates on APS journals, journal bundles, and the Physical Review Online Archive (PROLA).

If you choose to give a charitable gift to APS, you can find your donation receipt online through your myAPS account. You can also receive a receipt by contacting the APS Development team.
For tax purposes and in compliance with IRS regulations, APS also sends letters of confirmation to donors who generously give $250 or more.
