All accepted CUWiP applicants must register to attend.
Once you start the registration process your answers will not be saved. You must complete the registration questions and be prepared to pay the registration fee. The last day to cancel your registration and receive a full refund is Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
You can express interest in presenting at CUWiP 2024 during registration. Your assigned CUWiP site will contact you with their poster guidelines after you register.
For further information, please contact your assigned site or visit their direct webpage.
APS CUWiP offers a fee waiver if you are unable to pay the registration fee.
We ask that you please request financial assistance from your physics department first. If your department is unable to cover your registration fee, you may request the Fee Waiver Request Form by contacting APS CUWiP.
In the form, you will need to provide a brief statement of financial need and verify that department funds are not available. Once your statement is reviewed, you will receive additional instructions on how to complete your registration. Please note that you cannot register until the waiver has been approved. The last day to request a fee waiver is Monday, December 11, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. ET.
Food and shared room occupancy accommodation will be covered by the conference.
Travel grants are available to participants whose departments are unable to provide full travel support.
Once you have verified that department funding is not available, please contact your assigned host site’s local organizing committee (LOC). If approved, you will be reimbursed for travel expenses. Travel reimbursement cannot be guaranteed without prior approval. APS recommends that attendees refrain from paying for their travels until the LOC approves the purchase.
APS is focused on ensuring safe and productive meetings for all participants. Please review the important guidelines and recommendations before attending the meeting.
Registered students are expected to attend the entire conference. For more details, please visit your Host Site’s conference page.
Students also have the opportunity to network with other women in physics before, during, and after the conference through our Engage community. Become a community member today!
This year’s 2024 Millie Dresselhaus CUWiP Keynote Speaker is Jocelyn Bell Burnell, celebrated astrophysicist who discovered the first radio pulsars.
The conference includes research talks by faculty, panel discussions about graduate school and careers in physics, presentations and discussions about women in physics, laboratory tours, student research talks, and a student poster session.
