Conference for Graduate Women and Gender Minorities in Physics
Goals to advance graduate women and gender minorities in physics
Through events and mentoring, as part of the APS Gender Inclusive Physics Community, the Conference for Women and Gender Minorities in Physics provides women and gender minorities who are physics graduate students and postdocs with the support and professional development they need to grow as leaders in physics and related fields.
The goals of this conference are to:
- Expand networking, strengthen retention, and provide opportunities for future research and other collaborations for women throughout the community
- Provide mentor, leadership, and professional development training to women and gender minorities pursuing physics graduate studies
- Empower graduate women and gender minorities to become positive change agents within the broader community in order to make physics a more inclusive discipline
