National Mentoring Community Conference


Conference Registration

We are excited to have you join us for the APS National Mentoring Community Conference 2020, held in partnership with the National Society for Black Physicists and the National Society for Hispanic Physicists, at the University of Central Florida.

Important Deadlines

  • November 5: Registration, poster abstracts, student travel award application, and housing application open
  • January 6, 2020: Last day to cancel for a registration refund (registration refunds must be requested in writing and received before this date. No refunds will be processed after this date.)
  • January 21, 2020: Abstracts close
  • January 24: Travel award and housing applications deadline
  • January 24, 2020: Registration closes

Networking Fair Registration

The Networking Fair Registration has reached capacity and is now closed.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be received in writing by January 6, 2020. Please email NMC Program Coordinator Imisi Agbaniyaka at agbaniyaka@aps.org.

Photo Release

APS will take photographs and video at the NMC Conference. By registering for the NMC Conference and its associated events, you agree to allow APS to use your photo and/or video footage of you in APS related publications, materials, websites, or promotions.

Code of Conduct

All APS NMC Conference participants are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct for APS Meetings.

The American Physical Society National Mentoring Community (NMC) is an effort by APS to increase the number of physics degrees earned by underrepresented minority students, defined by the project as African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans.
