PhysTEC is a joint society project led by APS and the American Association of Physics Teachers, with National Science Foundation support. PhysTEC supports a limited number of institutions to develop innovative physics teacher education programs.
PhysTEC is pleased to announce the addition of 9 new institutions to The 5+ Club. Awards were announced at the 2017 PhysTEC Conference in Atlanta, GA. We are proud to recognize these institutions for their outstanding contributions to the education of future physics teachers.
Alexandra Boyd of Holly Springs High School in Holly Springs, North Carolina, was named the 2017 National PhysTEC Teacher of the Year. The selection committee noted her success as both a teacher and department chairperson in increasing AP Physics class enrollments in her.
