Outreach Guide

Welcome to the APS Outreach Guide. This guide was created to provide ideas, opportunities, and most importantly “how-to” information regarding physics outreach programs. The goal of the Guide is to arm you with all the information you will need to do outreach programs, starting with a selection of possible outreach programs you can do. For every program we list, we provide the details about the resources you need, how to actually execute the program, FAQs, as well as Success Stories and experts you can contact for more information.

The Guide is designed for the physics professor, teacher, researcher, student and any other physics enthusiast who is just as excited about physics as we are. We know you want to share your passion with others through outreach. We will describe how to pick an outreach program, how to work with audiences, how to work with schools, safety issues, and even public relations tactics you can employ to advance your outreach effort.  

This is meant to be a living website. We may have started it, but we want your feedback, ideas, and contributions.
