Background:

Dave Fish is Teacher in Residence at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He holds a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Waterloo and a B.Ed. from the University of Toronto. Working as a Physics teacher at a variety of high schools since 1990, Dave has been instrumental in the creation of outreach programs at Perimeter since 2001. He played a leading role in the development of the International Summer School for Young Physicists (ISSYP), a two-week program for high school students interested in theoretical Physics. He provided leadership in the development and expansion of EinsteinPlus into a week-long international teacher workshop hosted at Perimeter every summer. Dave has authored and been on the writing team or advisory panel for more than 20 classroom resources to date. These resources have been used by thousands of teachers to bring cutting-edge science into the classroom with proven pedagogical methods. He continues to lead teacher workshops locally, throughout Canada and the United States, and in many countries around the world. Dave is passionate about supporting, inspiring, and equipping teachers in their vital work of teaching students.
