Mid-Atlantic Section

We are proud to announce that the American Physical Society has established a new section that will serve the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The new Mid-Atlantic Section (M-AS) is a unit of the APS with the goal to strengthen the physics community in its region and to aid APS in its mission to advance and diffuse the knowledge of physics at the regional level.

The 2016 Annual Meeting of the APS Mid-Atlantic Section (M-AS) will be held at the University of Delaware from October 15 - 16, 2016. Registration is now open.

James Carrol of the Army Research Lab in Adelphi, MD has been elected as our incoming vice-chair, Tomasz Kott of Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab in Laurel, MD is our incoming member-at-large, and Diana Knieste of the University of Delaware is our incoming student member.
