Childcare Support

Application Deadline: September 27, 2017

Grants of up to $400 per family are available to assist attendees who incur extra expense in bringing young children to the meeting or in leaving them at home.

Expenses must be documented by receipts and the application must include an estimate of the expected expenses. If the number of requests exceeds the funding available, we will give preference to applicants in the early stages of their careers, especially postdocs and graduate students.

Travel reimbursement covers transportation to and from the meeting (car or public
transportation) only and does not cover meals. Copies of actual travel receipts must be submitted. Reimbursement for extra expenses in leaving children at home (i.e., extra day care or babysitting services) covers the amount beyond that which ordinarily is required. Copies of invoices must be provided.
