Background:

Chun Shen received his B.S.in 2009 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China and his Ph.D. in 2014 from the Ohio State University. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral researcher at the McGill University. His research interests focus on phenomenology of relativistic heavy-ion collisions. In particular, he developed a full dynamical description for the strongly coupled quark-gluon plasma (QGP) created in nucleus-nucleus collisions at the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider (RHIC) in Brookhaven and at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. He uses this theoretical framework to extract the transport property of the QGP, namely shear, bulk viscosities, and heat conductivity, to understand the underlying many-body strong interaction at extreme temperature and density.
