Dependent Child Care Award
The Dependent Child Care Award (DCCA) provides dependent child care awards for DCP members attending APS National Meetings. Awards from the fund may be used by recipients for dependent care at a conference, or at an alternative location (including at home), and may include those expenses incurred in transporting a caregiver.
Earle K. Plyler Prize for Molecular Spectroscopy
To recognize and encourage notable contributions to the field of molecular spectroscopy.
Graduate Student Travel Awards
DCP sponsors travel awards for graduate students who present a paper or a poster at the March or April meetings. Eligible expenses include reduced rate air fare or car travel, registration, economy room and board for the duration of the meeting. Awards can range from $250 to $400. As many as twelve awards will be made.
Herbert P. Broida Prize
To recognize and enhance outstanding experimental advancements in the fields of atomic and molecular spectroscopy or chemical physics.
Irving Langmuir Prize in Chemical Physics
To recognize and encourage outstanding interdisciplinary research in chemistry and physics, in the spirit of Irving Langmuir.
