 Hard X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy - HAXPES - is used to study bulk chemistry and electronic structure to a depth exceeding 30 nm. HAXPES 2013 is the 5th conference in a series that has grown rapidly since the first meeting held in Grenoble in 2003.
