The Instrument and Measurement Group will award a limited number of travel grants of up to $500 each to students as the first author of contributed papers (talks or posters) in sessions sponsored by GIMS at the March Meeting. Applicants will be chosen on the basis of the quality of their work as evidenced by the abstract of the paper and a letter of support from their thesis advisor. The student must be a member of GIMS.
See the GIMS Student Travel Grants page for instructions on how to apply. Contact the GIMS Secretary-Treasurer if you have questions about the application process.
Nominees and award and office holders are expected to meet standards of professional conduct and integrity as described in the APS Ethics Guidelines. Violations of these standards may disqualify people from consideration or lead to revocation of honors or removal from office.
