Preconference tutorial is offered as an educational service from DOE Center for “Predictive Control of Plasma Kinetics: Multi-phase and Bounded Systems” to the GEC community. The speakers will introduce important topics in plasma physics related to plasma processing applications to a broader audience.
Who Should Attend?
The objective of this short course is to provide background and outline recent developments in plasma processing applications. It will cover basics of rf discharges (M. A. Lieberman), plasma surface interaction (V. M. Donnelly, R. Boswell), probe diagnostics (V.A. Godyak, V.I. Demidov, and Y. Raitses) and numerical modeling with Vlasov codes (V.I. Kolobov) and pic codes (D. Sydorenko), as well as kinetic theory (I.D. Kaganovich). The attendants will be given opportunity for informal discussions with speakers.
Registration for the tutorial
Preregister for the Preconference tutorial when you register online for the 66th GEC Meeting. You must preregister. If attending only the Preconference Tutorial, then a mail-in paper Pre-Registration Form needs to be filled and submitted according to the instructions.
