Become the Next Editor of This Newsletter

Being the Editor of this newsletter the past three years has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. My term ends with the July issue and the search has begun for someone to replace me for a three-year term starting with the October issue. The Editor is responsible for identifying content with the support of an outstanding Editorial Board. APS staff handles the layout. The newsletter is published quarterly and presents letters, commentary, book reviews, and non-peer-reviewed articles on the relations of physics and the physics community to government and society. Physics and Society also carries news of the Forum and provides a medium for Forum members to exchange ideas. If you are interested in becoming the next Editor, please email me at and I can fill you in on the details.

These contributions have not been peer-refereed. They represent solely the view(s) of the author(s) and not necessarily the view of APS.
