Established in 2016, the objective of the Forum for Early Career Scientists (FECS) is to enhance APS's ability to meet the needs of early career scientists, to offer them support services, and to provide them with an opportunity for increased inclusion and participation in the activities and decision-making of the physics community.
The forum’s main purposes are to foster scientific communication and cooperation between early career scientists working in different fields all over the world to promote career path development.
Researchers working in the early stages of their careers, including physicists, engineers, mathematicians, and scientists of other related fields.
Integration of early career scientists into the broad community of physicists working in academic and non-academic fields, including industry, national laboratories, related STEM fields, and non-STEM fields, both nationally and internationally.
