Student Travel Grant Program

Through this program, DLS will provide partial funding (up to $500) for a limited number of graduate students to attend and participate in CLEO or FiO/LS. To be eligible, the student must be a member of APS-DLS and must be the presenting author on an accepted oral or poster presentation. Normally, the student’s faculty mentor must also be a DLS member. Students who have previously received a travel grant are not eligible for a second travel grant. To apply, submit the application form format_pdf and the faculty mentor recommendation form format_pdf, along with proof that the paper has been accepted to the conference, to the APS-DLS Secretary-Treasurer.

We will provide more information about specific deadlines for Student Travel Grants to assist with travel costs to CLEO in San Jose, CA (May 5-10, 2019) about two months before the conference begins.
