My name is Lisa Michelle Hines and I was born in Piscataway, New Jersey. I am 19 years old and I just completed my freshman year at The Pennsylvania State University. I will be continuing there in the fall in pursuit of a double major in astronomy and physics.
My interest in physics began in the seventh grade simply because I heard it was the hardest subject out there, but I got my first real taste of it in the eleventh grade. It stuck with me thanks to a very sincere teacher by the name of Dr. Walvick. I would like to thank him for all that he taught me and for never giving up on a classroom full of willful scientists-to-be; not to mention the recommendations. And a physicist is nothing without a strong math background; for that Id like to thank Mr. Pagano, Mrs. Moskal, and Mary Erickson.
In the next four years, I hope to somehow find my way to Columbia University, where I will hopefully attain my advanced degrees.
Outside of school, I love to ice skate, watch Law and Order: SVU, and shop with my sister. My hobbies include ballet, volunteering, and swimming.
