As Albert Einstein once said in his book Relativity: “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is to not stop questioning.” And at a very young age ‘why’ was the most common word on my lips, well, aside from ‘ice cream for dinner’. I am from Claremont California and will be attending school at University of the Pacific with a major in engineering physics (or applied physics). Now, as a young adult, ‘why’ is still one of my favorite words. I don’t want to simply accept Euler’s equation because a teacher handed it down to me, I want to understand it, parse it, and learn how it was derived. I hope to eventually enter a graduate school where I can both find answers to my own personal curiosities, and help others along my path to finding them.
