Introduction and Overview

The APS Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Alliance (APS-IDEA) is an APS Innovation Fund initiative with a mission of empowering the physics community to enact strategies for improving equity, diversity, and inclusion. The invite-only, half-day virtual meeting is limited to APS-IDEA network teams, and will serve as an information hub for network participants.

Learning objectives

  1. Teams will revisit basic ideas of second-order change and guiding principles
  2. Teams will learn about second-order change through activism
  3. Teams will become aware of promising change plans through driver diagrams, and reflect on their own change efforts
  4. Teams will be reenergized and feel less isolated
