APS is a leading voice for physics education and supports physics educators at all levels through its programs, publications, and resources.
The percentage of women earning bachelor's degrees in physics is declining. The STEP UP 4 Women project is tackling the issue by designing research-based curriculum/classroom strategies for high school teachers to encourage women to study undergraduate physics.
The majority of physics graduates will be working in the private sector, yet they are not well-prepared for these roles. APS has joined in on nationwide efforts to promote physics innovation and entrepreneurship (PIE) education.
