What is the timeline for recommendation implementation and future analyses?

APS is already taking several steps to put the recommendations into practice. See the Actions tab for more information.

Currently, APS does not have a timeline for future inventories. Before conducting its next GHG inventory, the Society wants to provide sufficient time for the current set of recommendations to be implemented and their effectiveness analyzed.


What effect might the inventory and subsequent recommendations have on the scientific community as a whole?

APS is hopeful that other scientific societies and organizations will conduct their own investigations into their GHG emissions and take steps to reduce and mitigate. APS is willing to provide guidance and insight to others attempting to perform similar analyses.


How can APS members assist in this effort?

APS encourages member suggestions about implementation, future analyses, and outreach. Please consider submitting a suggestion.
