Future of Physics Days

Future of Physics Days (FPD) are events just for undergraduate students. Sponsored by APS and the Society for Physics Students (SPS), FPD offers undergrads the opportunity to present their research, learn about grad school and career options, and connect with the scientific community.

Undergrads who attend the APS March Meeting can look forward to:

Hosted by the Society of Physics Students, this is an opportunity to informally meet fellow APS March undergraduate attendees and learn more about the conference from the undergraduate perspective. Refreshments will be served.

In this interactive workshop, students will learn about the key aspects of a successful transition into physics careers, such as planning and self-assessment, informational interviews, effective resume writing, and more. Refreshments will be served.

Graduate and undergraduate students can mingle with working physicists at the special student reception with light fare until 7:00 p.m. Immediately following, all students who presented at the March Meeting in the Undergraduate Research Sessions will be recognized, and students with outstanding presentations will also receive a special prize.
