APS April Meeting

LGBT+ Roundtable

Sunday, April 14, 2019
6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Sheraton Downtown Denver

Tower Court B

This roundtable discussion will focus on ways to improve the professional and educational climate within physics for those who identify as gender and sexual minorities (LGBTQQIAAP+). We will review the findings of the report, “LGBT Climate in Physics: Building an Inclusive Community”, and brainstorm strategies to improve support for physicists across the spectrum of career stages and work environments. All are welcome to attend.

Allies are especially welcome at this event to learn how they may help to support and mentor LGBT+ physicists and how the proposed actions can help improve the climate for a broad cross-section of physicists.
