55th Annual Meeting of the APS Division of Plasma Physics
November 11-15, 2013 • Denver, Colorado
The Scientific Program for the annual meeting will offer nine half-day sessions of invited, review, tutorial, and contributed (oral and poster) papers covering basic plasma physics, beams and coherent radiation, inertial confinement and high energy density plasmas, magnetic confinement, plasma technology and low temperature plasmas, space and astrophysical plasmas, education and outreach, and high-school and undergraduate research. Review papers will be presented in daily plenary sessions, and invited papers will be given each morning and afternoon in parallel with the contributed oral and poster session papers. Tutorial papers will be included in the afternoon invited sessions Monday through Thursday. Updated information about the program will be posted here in August.
The Scientific Program, Bulletin of The American Physical Society for the 2013 DPP Meeting, will be distributed to all registered meeting participants on-site. Open access to current archives of the APS Bulletin is available online.
Audio-visual Equipment for Sessions
All oral sessions will be equipped with an LCD projector, Windows-based PC laptop, overhead projector, screen, lavaliere microphone, and laser pointer. It is not necessary to bring your laptop. If your presentation has been downloaded to a memory stick or a CD, you will be able to use the laptop provided. If you are giving a PowerPoint presentation and you create a CD, make sure you close or finalize your session. If this step is not accomplished you cannot access the CD from any computer. To avoid the most common cross-platform software problems, the use of pdf format is recommended. Whichever mechanism you utilize you must first visit the Speaker-Ready Room to test your presentation with a technician to ensure successful connectivity for your presentation. This will ensure the sessions run smoothly. Speakers using the LCD projector may wish to bring back-up transparencies in case of a technical problem. Presenters are not allowed to use personal projectors at the annual meeting.

Audiovisual Equipment for Poster Sessions
Electrical connections will be available at all poster sites, and small tables for laptops will be provided free if requested from Don Mewha (firstname.lastname@example.org), by October 18, 2013. If you require additional AV equipment it can be rented by contacting Lee Warren (email@example.com) at AVMG. Payment must be received for additional equipment before the start of the requester's session by check, credit card, or cash.

November 11-13The APS DPP Job Fair 2013 will take place Monday – Wednesday, November 11 – 13 at the Sheraton Downtown Hotel in Denver, CO. Annual meeting participants are encouraged to visit the APS DPP Job Fair to take advantage of the many recruiting services:

- Receive unlimited job board postings during the event

- Interview with potential candidates or employers on-site
