J.H. Sinfelt

Citation:

"For his outstanding contributions to the field of heterogeneous catalysis, leading to the synthesis and characterization of a new class of catalytic materials based on the concept of bi-metallic clusters.  His work has demonstrated the effectiveness of modern surface science in elucidating the influence of materials properties on catalysis, and has culminated in the development of an important hydrocarbon reforming catalyst of greatly increased activity and stability."
