Student Travel Grant Program
We are now accepting applications for Student Travel Grants to assist with travel costs to attend the Frontiers in Optics/Laser Science in Washington DC September 17-21, 2017. The deadline for receipt of complete applications is August 1, 2017.
Through this program, DLS will provide partial funding (up to $500) for a limited number of graduate students to attend and participate in FiO/LS.
To be eligible, the student must be a member of APS-DLS and must be the presenting author on an accepted oral or poster presentation. Normally the student’s faculty mentor must also be a DLS member. Students who have received a travel grant are not eligible for a second travel grant. To apply, submit the application form and the faculty mentor recommendation form , along with proof that the paper has been accepted to the conference, to the APS-DLS Secretary-Treasurer. Successful applicants will be informed no later than August 7, 2017.
