Student Travel Support


For your application to be considered, it must be received by April 5, 2012, 5:00 p.m., EDT.

Please provide the information requested below and send it via email to: graithel@umich.edu

Put the information in a single line in the email message, not as an attachment, with the message subject: "DAMOP Student Travel Support"

Please send it in the format indicated by the example with comma-separated entries. Do not leave out any entry.

Information needed (in this order):

Last Name, First Name, Institution, Advisor Name, Degree on which you are working, Email address, Presenting Talk or Poster at DAMOP, Dates present at DAMOP meeting, Mailing Address

Example:

Doe, John, Generic State University, Jane Smith, Ph.D., jdoe@physics.genstateuniv.edu, yes, month days, 1234 Englewood Dr., Pittsburgh, PA, 99999

Those selected for support will be contacted to transmit their U.S. Social Security or Tax Payer ID number to the APS in a safe way in order to receive a student support check at the DAMOP Meeting.

Please be aware of the following policies:
  • In the past, DAMOP policy has been to support only one student per advisor.
  • Priority has been given to students who were not supported last year and to those who will be presenting a talk or poster.
  • Priority will also be given to students who provide the information in the format requested.

Applications conflicting with these policies are discouraged.
