Spotlighting Exceptional Research
Physics is a weekly online-only magazine that provides news and commentary about the most important and interesting research papers published throughout the APS journal collection. Scientists, editors, and professional writers regularly contribute to engage researchers, students, and science communicators with the significant developments happening in all fields of physics.
Physics primarily features three kinds of articles:
- Viewpoints - In-depth commentaries written by prominent experts in a given field.
- Focus - Highly accessible explanations of research papers geared toward students and non-experts.
- Synopses - Brief news summaries prepared by the Physics editors across all physics subfields.
As a service to authors, Physics also sends tip sheets to credentialed journalists about upcoming papers
To sign up for the Physics e-alert, you’ll need an APS Journal Account. If you already have an account, log in here and select Physics on the “Alerts” tab. If you don’t already have an APS Journal Account, creating one is easy and only takes a few minutes.
