Why is This Man Smiling?

Michael Barnett of the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory found himself surrounded by eight US Senators at an event called “Women Making History” in San Francisco in April. He is smiling because he got a chance to thank them for their support for the DOE’s Office of Science, and to remind them how important adequate funding for physical science is.
