How many tenure-track or tenured faculty -- male/female?

13 tenure/tenure track

How many graduate students-- male/female?

30 graduate students

How many post doctoral associates - male/female?

7 post doctoral associates

Is there a family leave policy for graduate students? If so, describe.

There is a cotinuous enrollment policy for graduate students
before PhD comprehensives are passed. After the the department can easily petition to keep the studen continuously enrolled.

No University policy on maturnity leave, but is left to the
department to decide- usually in favor of the student.

University policy is currently being decided.

Is there family health insurance for graduate students? If so, is it included in the stipend?

Yes, but not included in the standard graduate stipend. The Physics Department pays for TAs. RAs are left to the research directors to decide.

Please describe why someone applying to graduate school who is interested in a female-friendly department should choose your department.

There is no female-friendly policy at this time, except to realize that it is important to have some balance of women in the graduate pool. Presently about 20% women.
