Public Relations

Although there any many types of public relations (see below), for the purpose of this guide we will focus on media relations and getting media exposure for your work, as well as general promotional and advertising techniques. Therefore the terms "public relations" and media relations", and the abbreviations PR and MR will be used interchangeably, all to mean the same thing – working with the media to promote you and your outreach program.
