Background:

I grew up in Yorba Linda, CA, a suburb a half hour from Disneyland and the location of the Richard M. Nixon Library. My decision to choose Physics as a major was made during my senior year in high school but my interests had always been in this field. The concepts shown in Star Trek and Star Wars captured my imagination from an early age. In the fall I will be a junior at the University of California, Santa Barbara in an Advanced Honors Physics program in the College of Creative Studies. This summer I will be working in a physics lab on research projects involving an Atomic Force Microscope and Quantum dots. I intend to earn a PhD in Physics.
