Background:

Hi there! I'm finishing up my first year at Caltech, wavering between physics and applied physics as my selected option. My interests lie mainly with condensed matter physics, which I will continue to pursue this summer, while investigating the fringe field regions of narrow channels in 2-D electron systems, in Prof. Jim Eisenstein's lab. I'm currently on the ASCIT Board of Directors as Freshman Director at Large and have also held positions as a member of the Entrepreneur Club Executive committee and Fleming House Frosh Work-Chair. I also participate in the women's glee club, CLASES (Caltech Latino Assoc. of Students in Engineering and Science), NSBE, and Misty Isle Scottish Pipe Band. I have been name a Caltech Presidential Scholar and Mellon Minority Fellow. Thank you so much for this honor as an APS Scholar.
