Background:
I was born in 1993 in San Rafael, CA just north of San Francisco. For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated with all aspects of science, but none as much as astronomy. However, my interest in astronomy remained relatively stagnant until the 8th grade, when I read Death by Black Hole: and Other Cosmic Quandaries by Neil deGrasse Tyson. Since then, I have become fascinated with theoretical physics, astrophysics, and cosmology The Elegant Universe and A Brief History of Time are among my favorite non fiction books. This fall, I will begin my studies in astrophysics at Caltech. From there, I plan to get a PhD in astrophysics and become a professor.
