My name is Aaron Pollack, and I have lived in Youngstown, Ohio for almost all of my life. For as long as I can remember, I have loved solving problems in mathematics, and over the past few years I have developed an increasing interest in physics. Physics attracts me for multiple reasons. For one, the questions asked are deep, intriguing, and meaningful; and two, I love the process of searching for (and hopefully discovering) solutions to interesting problems. In addition to academics, I am also involved in athletics, specifically running. I ran cross country throughout high school and track my senior year; my best event was the 800. I will be attending Duke University in the fall, and plan to double major in physics and mathematics.
