Jasmine Oliver

Background:

My name is Jasmine Oliver. I am from Valrico, Fl, and am a proud sophomore at South Carolina State University. I chose Physics as my major because the world is a wonder to me. I want to know about everything that it holds and to learn why and how everything happens. The components of this world are intriguing and complex, and I am taking the challenge to learn its intricate secrets. At SCSU, I am a member of the Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Band and AME Campus Ministry. My favorite scripture is Matthew 7:13-14, Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. I strive to live my life for Jesus Christ.  I served as Miss Richard Allen Club for 2007-2008 and I am presently serving as Miss Honors Program for 2008-2009. I have been elected Sophomore Secretary for the upcoming school year and this fall I plan to become a member of South Carolina States Marching 101. I am also a licensed Primerica Life Insurance agent.
