My name is Curtis Morales, I live in Washington, D.C., and Ill be attending Harvard in the fall. I first became interested in physics in eleventh grade, when I signed up to take AP Physics C more or less on a whim. Having always been bored by science classes, I was surprised to find myself actually enjoying this physics class. For the first time I was taking a science class in which the work was challenging and fun, I had a good teacher, and the concepts were interconnected and made sense. During my senior year, I took a class in modern physics at the George Washington University through a local program, and was lucky enough to be taught by another fantastic physics teacher, who inspired me to continue my study of physics in college. My plans beyond that range are vague at best, but Im certain that, whatever I end up doing, I want to learn as much about physics as I can.
