Background:

My name is Daniel Martinez. I am Hispanic, with Colombian parents, and  grew up in Miami, Florida. I attended Design and Architecture Senior High and School for Advanced Studies  Wolfson. At the latter I was able to sample physics in dual enrollment classes at Miami Dade College and was immediately hooked. I enjoy and want to study physics because of its innate ability to explain the world around us because I am a curious person, and because I believe that this branch of science makes all other studies possible. I will be attending Auburn University in Alabama come this fall, double majoring in physics and applied mathematics.
