Background:

This year I have dived into my Physics and Art majors; I am hoping to become an architect. I am from Grants Pass, Oregon, and many other places. Now I live in Santa Barbara, California, where I am studying at Westmont College. I chose to study Physics because it is fascinating and challenging and beautiful. Finally solving a difficult problem is so satisfying. I want to study acoustics in particular, and eventually aspire to build concert halls and art museums. I find that physics and art are surprisingly interconnected; they are both an attempt to understand our world, though they have two very different approaches. There is undeniable grace in a plot of data, just as there are mathematical proportions evident in human faces. It has been such an adventure growing these aspects of who I am. I will continue walking toward the allure of tomorrow.
