Christopher Hain

Background:

Christopher Scott Hain graduated a valedictorian from W. T. Woodson High School. With a GPA of 4.12, Christopher's passions are math and science, and he eventually would like to be a physicist capable of making significant scientific contributions to society. In the athletic arena, he has earned Varsity Letters in both Cross Country and Track. For three summers, Christopher volunteered for the Housing Oriented Ministries Established for Service, tearing down old homes and building new ones for low income families in Kentucky. Musically, he sang in four different ensembles and served as the President of the W. T. Woodson Choral Department. Christopher says his role model is his teacher of an AP course called World Civilizations, who enabled him to experience over 1,000 years of history and culture in one year, and "introduced me to the wonders of classical music and the majesty of art." A second-generation Mexican-American, Christopher has been accepted at selection of the nation's top Universities, including Stanford University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the California Institute of Technology. He will attend Stanford University as a freshman this fall.
