Julia Gonzalez

Background:

My name is Julia Gonzalez and I am from Chicago, IL. I am currently studying physics at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and absolutely loving it. My parents are originally from Mexico, my mother from Ensenada, Baja California and my father from Guadalajara, Jalisco, and I am the first in my family to attend college.  Although I am not sure what I am interested in researching, I am looking forward to finding out what is out there for me.  I am considering taking the education route, and becoming a teacher, to inspire and encourage students to study what they love. When I am not studying, I really enjoy playing volleyball and being part of the Student Ambassador program at IIT, reaching out to prospective students that are trying to find the right college fit for them.
