I was born in Miami, Florida and I have been raised under a Costa Rican heritage. The first time I was exposed to physics was probably in some of the summer programs that I participated in when I was in middle school, and perhaps my engineering courses at the start of my high school. Yet it wasn't until my senior year that I actually felt the desire to pursue a physics major, and it all started when I came across some articles on quantum teleportation in the internet. After completing a research paper for my Literature class, and a powerpoint for the Science Honor Society about that topic, I found myself with the desire to possibly conduct research in that field, if I would someday be ready for it. Yet in order to even begin comprehending such a field, I knew that I would need to develop an adequate background in physics first. It is because of this, that I will begin to attend MIT this fall, and I look forward to immersing myself in the field of science that can probably lead to a foundation for any other career.
