When I was a junior in high school I took my first physics course. My entire outlook on school changed because of this one course. All of a sudden I needed to read the text and work for hours in order to solve the homework problems. Our teacher was teaching us calculus based from photocopies of the Serway. The course was tough but I was up for the challenge, and I fell in love with thinking about these types of problems. I wen ton to take the AP Physics II course when I was a senior in high school, and I am now a junior at the University of Texas at Austin studying physics. I am not sure what area of physics I ultimately want to be involved with, but I am taking every opportunity to explore as many of them as I can. My hobbies include swimming, climbing, hiking, playing tennis, and juggling.
