Background:

My name is Roberto A. Rodríguez Torres. I was born in Dallas, Texas, but I've spent most of my life in Puerto Rico. Ever since I was young, I was interested in how things work, which led me to turn to science for answers. Fueled by this was a natural affinity I possessed towards mathematics, as do most members of my family. Secondly, my parents always encouraged my academic interests from a young age. Furthermore, I always had great teachers who believed in me and were a great help in my intellectual formation. I am expecting to attend the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao this August as a Physics freshman, where I hope to further amass the knowledge necessary to pursue a career in Physics.
