Background:

It is with great satisfaction and a little bit of wonder that I find myself ready to embark on a journey to understand the world around me. Fascinated by the beauty and subtlety of the laws that govern our universe and the mathematics necessary to explain them, there is no field more suitable for me than physics. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I hope to gain the knowledge necessary not only to gain some insight into how the universe works, but also to help stimulate academic and scientific growth among my country’s future generations. I thank the APS for awarding me this honor as I begin my studies at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.
