Background:

Odessa Winter was born at the Holloman Air Force Base in 1989. She has always been very enthralled by science, in general, from biology to astronomy, and everything in between. She grew up the youngest of seven, and is the first member of her family to progress so far in school.

She was awarded an Associate’s degree in Applied Science with honors in May 2012, and is now transferring to the University of New Mexico to pursue a degree in physics. She is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and in her free time enjoys reading and running races for charity.
