My name is Justin Easley, and I was born and raised in a fairly rural suburb of Atlanta, GA. When you live in the country, you spend a lot of time outside in open fields and forests. As a child, I always used to sit outside and wonder why trees grew in a certain direction, or why the wind blew. Seeking answers to these elementary questions, as well as an understanding of the most fundamental laws of nature, I became interested in the field of physics. Since the days of my youth, I have gained a deeper understanding of the aspects of physics, and now seek to answer the questions bothering the worlds greatest physicists today, such as what are the properties of the most elementary particles, or is there a unified Theory of Everything. I will be attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the fall, and I feel that a degree in physics will help me on my way to someday answering some of these most fundamental questions.
