University of Utah
My name is Jorge Antonio Zetina and I was born in Ciudad Hidalgo, Michoacan Mexico. I attended a high school where they focus on preparing students for college by encouraging them to take the University of Utah. The courses are taught at the school and have made me appreciate many fields. It was the physics class, however, that made me fall in love with physics and math. One of the things that made me like physics so much was my teacher, Mr. Pantziris. The way he taught the class was amazing. He took hard concepts and made them easy for us to understand, both mathematically and in physical theory. I am in awe of how the physicists and mathematicians have discovered the laws of the universe. I can see myself in the future working as a theoretical or experimental physicist. I would love to be a theoretical physicist. Two of the areas of research I would like to study as a theoretical physicist would be dark matter and string theory. This is the reason for why I want to major in physics and in math. I was accepted into the University of Utah and their Honors College, University of California-Los Angeles and University of California-Berkeley. I will be attending the University of Utah.
