Calib Lanier
Georgia Southern University

My name is Calib Lanier. I was born in Marieta, GA and raised in its sister city, Smyrna, GA. Physics almost immediately intrigued me when I took it for the first time in high school. However, that did not quite seal the decision of making it my college major. Throughout high school I also developed a deep interest in the study of the brain. This led to my desire to pursue medical school and specialize in radiology, which would provide a different perspective on the functions of the brain. As I was looking deeper into radiology, I realized that it was actually a branch of physics. This amazing discovery has allowed me to major in my favorite subject while still pursuing my ultimate goal of studying the brain. I am very passionate about this field and will continue to work diligently to reach my goal.
